Homecoming 2005 at Reservoir High School!

I don't think we won, but the Color Guard looked fabulous. The story here is that 4 weeks before this debut performance, I was asked if I could make a total of 21 costumes in a variety of sizes and 97 flags. Knowing I couldn't pull that off singlehanded, I asked if the Boosters and girls could volunteer and I would turn my Studio into a production facility and form all these non-sewers into work groups and we'd get it done. So, for the next several weeks I created the patterns and calculated and ordered yardage by day and supervised 32 volunteers by night. We created 4 football fields of ruffles for the costumes. We cut and sewed and welt seamed miles of silks into the 6 different flag patterns....and each of the flag patterns had between 6 and 14 pieces. By the time we were done, the volunteers were pros and the Color Guard was ready to go. Yeah! Team!!
